Designed by the Venezuelan/Italian designer in a contemporary style, “ALBA table lamp 265” features a glass drop shade that rests delicately on a satin brass rectangular-section profile in the shape of a double asymmetrical “L” ,
serving as the base and ornamentation of the light. Oluce’s Alba 265 table lamps are intended to be used as small bedside table lights or for accent lighting on a dresser.

Alba Table Lamp 265 by Oluce. The concept of Alba starts with a very simple element: the designer’s imagination was inspired by a drop of water which she puts to use in different ways, depending on the model. References to the world of nature, with soft shapes contrasted with square lines, together with the use of a satin brass finish, combine to create Alba, a family with a strong visual impact.

Alba 265 is a design by Mariana Pellegrino Soto.
She was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela and attended and graduated from the Italian scientific high school Agostino Codazzi.
When she was 18 years old, she moved to Italy to pursue a degree in Product Design at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome.
During the three-year program, she participated in the Erasmus project, studying for one semester at the Institute’s Barcelona campus. She participated and won a university competition for the design of a glass water bottle “Acqua Santa Maria” (for the Sayachi Group of Companies), and won the Best Packaging Award in the 2016 Global Bottled Water Awards 2016. During her final year in the program, her thesis project was completed in collaboration with Oluce, which, once having chosen her project, developed it all the way to the product’s final creation. She currently works as a design developer for F&N Compositi.
