optional Flying Flames Downlight. In order to use the Flying Flames Element, you must also
purchase the Flying Flames Canopy. Both types of the canopy are made of white lacquered steel and are equipped with jacks for up to ten Flame Elements and a maximum of two Downlight
Elements. The flame elements are dimmable separately by holding down a small button on the circuit board and feature an integrated electronic ballast adapter.

Ingo Maurer One New Flame Pendant Lamp also known as the Flying Candles. One New Flame was designed by Moritz Waldemeyer along with Ingo Maurer and team and was made by Ingo Maurer in Germany.
Ingo Maurer’s One New Flame is a distinctive “floating candle” that never burns down. At the upper end of a sleek circuit board, suspended on fine wires, a candle seems to flicker in the wind. Up close, you will perceive a double-sided rectangular display made of 256
LEDs (each side), which renders the image of a burning flame. From a slight distance, the LEDs ‘melt’ into the image of a single flame. Sophisticated programming of the LEDs and their warm color temperature make the flame look astonishingly realistic. A movie of a burning flame was converted to pixel data and then coded to each individual LED to reflect the movement. The luminosity of the two displays is roughly comparable to a standard white candle. The silver circuitry and controllers, visible on board, create an elegant composition of mysterious and delicate ornamentation.

Flying Flames is a new, flexible chandelier system. The magical LED candles, presented by Moritz Waldemeyer and Ingo Maurer in 2012, are combined with simple and functional Downlight Elements. Both elements are placed freely with a magnet on the canopy board. The canopy board comes in two sizes. Flying Flames is designed to permit individual versions of a chandelier. You decide on the number of Flames and their colour. Add one or two downlights for a pleasant light on a table below the chandelier. Choose between the rectangular for the smaller, square canopy, or place multiple canopy boards in a line to create a long chandelier. Place the elements as you choose, and adjust their height. each with 256 dimmable LEDs, 5 volts. Based on video material, the LED’s render flickering candle flame light in a
realistic and captivating way.
