Flos Splugen Brau suspension lamp. The Splugen Brau lamp by Flos is one of our favorite modern pendant lights! Splugen Brau is a historically significant Italian design classic. Few designs can match the timeless and sophisticated aesthetics of the Splugen Brau pendant lamp, manufactured by Flos since the early 1960s. The Splugen Brau was designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1961. This beautiful shiny pendant light fixture was designed for the Achille Castiglioni designed Splugen Brau beerhouse at the Corso Europa in Milan Italy. Although the Splugen Brau u beerhouse does no longer exist, it’s iconic pendant lamp has been proven to be one of the most successful lamps in the Flos collection. The highly versatile Splugen Brau is a timeless classic with its understated simplicity and timeless elegance. Splugen Brau is perfect as a dining room pendant light fixture but works equally well as an accent lamp in the kitchen (suspend three of them over your kitchen countertop), living room, bedroom or office. This Italian design classic is UL listed so it is perfect for both residential and commercial applications.

Splugen Brau concentrates its light output in a downward direction. The light is naturally reflected because of its internal polished aluminum diffuser. A silver-dome light bulb (included by Stardust) provides indirect but concentrated light. The external diffuser surface features a unique ribbed polished aluminum surface which gives the lamp its classic good looks. The diffuser is protected with a transparent clear zapon-varnished coating. It has a steel ceiling fitting, vacuum-formed ABS rose with gloss white finish. It is perfect for commercial applications since it is UL listed.
